  • We are located on 5 acres no more than 5 minutes south of lake Goodwin. We have trails on property, a private creek, and farm animals coming in the spring!

  • I accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, check or cash. Anything other than cash is taxed 6.5%, cash is preferred.

  • 7:30AM-6PM for daycare & boarding hours. I am available by phone from 7:30am-7pm. If contacted after 7pm, please expect a reply the following day.

  • All dogs stay in a custom-made 30’ X 20’ climate controlled dog barn attached to a 2,500 square foot, 6’ high, fully fenced dog yard. All dogs are secured individually in professional-grade plastic dog kennels, wire kennels or wire outdoor dog runs when not being supervised to ensure their safety. No exceptions. If specifically requested, house mates can stay in an outdoor run together.

  • Puppies can, and should begin training as soon as they come into your life! The sooner a dog starts training, the better, as an early start will set them up for success later in life. I will take dogs of any age!

  • No. Because I spend most of my day out training and caring for the dogs, and scheduling visits becomes too complicated during boarding. In addition, owners visiting disrupts the learning process. Dogs go through an adjustment period when they stay with me, and if an owner suddenly arrives after they have gotten used to me and their new environment, they will become extremely distracted by their owner and lose focus on training.

  • While at first, yes, your dog will work best with me, a large part of my training is dedicated to what’s called “generalizing” behaviors. Essentially, this means we will work hard on having the dog train in many different environments, and when the training is complete, we will practice having the dog work with you. Remember, the ultimate goal of training is for you to gain the tools to succeed with your dog!

  • I specialize in puppy raising, aggressive dogs, intensive training and teaching owners how to be the best advocate for their dog. My ultimate goal with any dog is to teach them how to live harmoniously with their humans.

  • The Board & Train program is the most popular, and creates a long waitlist. Normally, Board & Train is about 6 months booked out, and bookings are on a first come, first serve basis. Boarding, Daycare, and Grooming services are typically immediately available. The only exception is holidays, where I require 4 weeks notice before booking any service.

I strongly encourage contacting me if you are interested in booking, and staying in touch. Occasionally, I will have cancellations or clients that reschedule, and slots become available for dogs to ‘squeeze’ into earlier than normal.

  • Yes, I do take intact dogs. I have extensive experience managing intact animals. In a pack setting, I keep a close eye on any intact dogs to ensure they are getting along smoothly. I do charge a $30 fee for females that come to me in heat, or begin their heat while staying with me. I understand this is out of the owners’ control, but keeping a female in heat in an environment with other dogs requires extra management on my part to ensure all dogs’ safety. Females in heat are always kept separate from all other dogs on property.

  • All dogs are welcome at Cavalry Canine, regardless of size, personality, or breed. The safety and well-being of all dogs in my care is extremely important to me. Before any dog comes to stay with me, I make sure to evaluate their individual needs and make choices on where they are housed, what activities they participate in, and what other dogs they can be around based on that evaluation. For example, I would never place a very shy chihuahua in the outdoor yard with a group of large, rambunctious dogs. If your dog has any special accommodations or preferences, all you need to do is let me know!

  • Yes, your dog will be with other dogs on property, unless we have specifically discussed otherwise. Dogs are rotated in the exercise yard with all the other dogs that are approved by me, and monitored while outside together. If your dog is not dog friendly or gets overstimulated easily, your dog will be separated from the pack to enjoy a calm rotation by themselves.

  • Me, my kids, my cats & sometimes my husband. No outside clients have physical access to other clients’ dogs on property.

  • All dogs must be generally healthy. Zero tolerance policy for fleas & open wounds. A more detailed packing list will be sent to owners after booking services.

  • I provide videos & picture updates on dogs that stay with me, within reason. I also post about my training & boarding dogs regularly on my Facebook page! One thing I always tell my clients though is that no news is good news when it comes to dogs.
